Rose day at the Thornden Park Rose Garden is two days away and Dan Margaro is working on the finishing touches. Margaro has volunteered for the Rose Garden for 25 years. "When I started working 25 years ago I put these all in," said Margaro. "The enjoyment that people get is what I get out of it." The garden is around 85 years old and has over 4,000 different types of flowers in it. Margaro says thousands of people come each year just to smell the flowers.
"We don't mind to do the work because it is a beautiful sight," said Margaro. He is currently working on the final touches for the rose pedals.
