Utica's 22-year-old Mitch Dougherty is becoming a something of a local legend. The professional motocross racer has a laundry list of career accomplishments including the Amateur National Championship he won in 1995.
Dougherty is proof you can't judge a book by its cover. Up front, he's a laid back, "average" guy. But beneath the surface, there's a confident attitude fueling an ultra-competitive spirit.
"I expect myself to win," says Dougherty.
