Baldwinsville police have arrested the head women’s soccer coach at Le Moyne College and charged him with 11 felony counts for disseminating indecent material to a minor and 11 misdemeanors under endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say James A. Riverso, 28, of 366 Craigie St., DeWitt, sent sexual text messages to a 16-year-old girl he was coaching as part of a youth soccer program. The girl and her parent came forth to the police. Police then conducted an investigation followed by an arrest.
Le Moyne College has placed Riverso on paid administrative leave and he is scheduled to appear June 10 in Baldwinsville Village Court.
